Ratings
No ethics rating found (Good On You, Fair Wear, B Corp, transparency indexes).
No independent quality test or expert review found.
No review platform found.
Each source is averaged first, then sources are weighted by reliability: audits, lab tests and verified-buyer platforms count most, rating organisations and expert reviewers less, brand-run reviews and community opinion least. Review scores also weigh by how many reviews stand behind them, and anything older than three years fades.
Sourcing & ethics
Founded in 1999 by Satoshi Suzuki to keep Wakayama's old loopwheel knitting machines running. The brand names its knitting mills (Kanekichi Industries, Wada Meriyasu) and its sewing factory (Maruwa Textile's Aptimaluwa in Aomori), and says every step happens in Japan. Its own webshop ships to most EU countries (Bulgaria excluded), and orders since September 2025 ship duties-paid (DDP). Owned by Independent (founder Satoshi Suzuki).
